CITATION TO ACCOMPANY THE AWARD OF
THE AIR FORCE COMMENDATION MEDAL
TO
PAUL G. ROBERTSON
Technical Sergeant Paul G. Robertson distinguished himself by meritorious service as Element Chief, Munitions Maintenance, 31st Munitions Squadron, 31st Logistics Group, 31st Fighter Wing, Camp Darby, Italy, from 2 March 1994 to 5 March 1998. During this period, Sergeant Robertson's leadership and sense of mission accomplishment reflected the commitment needed in today's Air Force. He deployed to Rhein-Main Air Base, Germany, as a transportation coordinator responsible for moving over 42,000 tons of cargo and 11,500 personnel in direct support of Operation JOINT ENDEAVOR. Sergeant Robertson also supervised high priority transportation of AGM-65 missiles to Aviano Air Base, resulting in uninterrupted allied support of Operation DENY FLIGHT. He enforced the highest standards in munitions storage practices while performing a wall-to-wall inspection of 54 facilities, and preparing the 16,000 ton stockpile for the 1997 Headquarters United States Air Forces in Europe Stockpile Survey. His extraordinary, proactive approach resulted in comments of "Excellent" across his area of responsibility for the 358 million dollar stockpile and directly aided the 31st Munitions Squadron's winning the Command Maintenance Effectiveness Award for 1997. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Robertson reflect credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
